So I first heard about this from one of my friends. It's SO COOL. I don't think think I could do it though- live for one year off of Groupons alone. To earn or spend no money, forgo family and friends and not self-destruct or starve??? It's crazy! But this Groupawn (get it?) Josh Stevens did it for a year as part of a $100,000 challenge. It seems fun to have this sort of experience (I follow his blog) but I'm sure there are times where he must have felt lonely or even homesick.
Groupon is crazy man. They turned down a $6 billion offer from Google and have expanded like no other! Even overseas now! I have a friend in Indonesia who started a groupon-like website and his site got bought out by Groupon. I don't blame them for wanting to own all the deal sites and now my friend is a rich man! Groupon is just going to get bigger! Which is a good thing because I am such a groupon addict! They did a groupon reward system sometime ago and invited me to check it out. It was pretty cool to be one of the selected few to test out what is now called the groupon bucks! Not a day goes by without a story about Groupon in the news. They have even recently joined forces with Live Nation to offer discounted concert tickets services. GrouponLive is expected to launch in June!! I'm looking forward to that!
The goal now is to work for Groupon.
I've been told that I'm the Super Deal Queen. No shame in that! I love deals. I love to travel, eat, shop, and play. Naturally my deals will be on items that revolve around the things I love to do. I also like to laugh and tell jokes, so I will occasionally impress you with my jokes guarantee to make you LOL! But don't expect it too much cuz I'm not a clown... What are your favorite deals?
