Today Google just announced Google Offers. Another groupon-like service that will be offering local deals to select cities including SF, Oakland/East Bay. They claim to offer deals at 50% off or more! I'm looking forward to it!
Another groupon-like website that you should subscribe to is MyTownDeal which offer deals families living in silicon valley. Some of the deals are for robotics class for kids, akido classes, music/ art classes (you know...all the nerdy stuff) PERFECT for families living in the silicon valley. They also have deals to local restaurants and events. What's really great about MyTownDeal is that they will donate 5% of your purchase to a nonprofit of your choice.
